PERSONAL COMPUTER ANGULAR MEASUREMENT SYSTEM (PC-AMS)
The Personal Computer Angular Measurement System (PC-AMS) has been
developed for those users that would like to collect and/or manipulate the data, from one
to four Clinometers. The system consists of a USB device that plugs into the PC, ten
feet of cable for each Clinometer, the required number of Analog Clinometers and a simple
Visual Basic program to acquire, calibrate and display the angle of each sensor.
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The plug-in USB device has eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs
in addition to the four analog inputs that are used to monitor the analog outputs form the
electronic clinometers. All of the inputs and outputs are connected via screw
terminals on the USB device. The power required by the clinometers is supplied form
the USB port.
The system resolution is 0.1 arc-degrees. See the data sheet

for the clinometer specifications (Part Number 100013-01).
The Dash Number of the system indicates the number of Clinometers to be
included in the system.
Example:
Part number 100041-03 describes a system consisting of
3 clinometers, the USB device with cable and 10 feet of cable for each clinometer.
Optional cable lengths are available on request.
